Hosting Your New website

I do not at this time host websites on my servers. However, I will work with you in every way possible to get your website up on the internet. I will assist you in registering your domain name, setting up your hosting account, and I will transfer all of your files to your new host. I will ensure that everything is working properly before finalizing the contract.

So if you are in need of a host for your new website, I can assist you in obtaining one. Feel free to choose any host you would like, I can work with any of them. I have a number of website hosts that I have worked with that I feel confident in using.

Domain Names

You will need a domain name for your new website if you do not have one already. A domain name is the address of your website like www.jackr.net. It is how your website is registered so that people can find you. While some hosts offer to register your domain name when you purchase your hosting account, I would recommend against that. Yes, you can save a couple of dollars, but if you ever become dissatisfied with your host they sometimes make it difficult to change your domain name to a new hosting account. It is never good to put all your eggs in one basket, so keep your domain name registered at one place, and your hosting at another.
